Almost all bodily cells have a life cycle giving us the opportunity to adjust our life so we may capture the chance to regain prime cellular health throughout our human life cycle. By maintaining healthy conditions and proper nutrition we ensure healthy cellular behavior and a resulting state and sense of youth throughout our entire lives.
GET BETTER SLEEP
For years, public health messages have stressed the importance of diet and physical activity. Now, the sleep-deprived American public is learning (the hard way) that sleep is a critical, and possibly the most important, pillar of a healthy lifestyle.
However, not all sleep is created equal. Many discussions of sleep are centered around how many hours a person clocks each night. While 50 years of data show that people who sleep between 7-8 hours per day live the longest, it’s important to know that quantity is not the same as quality.
BREATHE
Never underestimate the power of a deep, soothing breath. Breathing is something that we don’t really think about, but it is an essential youth restoration practice and one of the foundations of holistic health and wellness. Mindful breathing and meditation techniques are not only good for our peace of mind, but they are also great for keeping us young.
Breathing is also the key to achieving mindfulness. It’s essentially why you feel significantly more amazing doing yoga than you do during aerobics; you’re controlling your breathing while treating yourself to all the benefits that follow a calm, steady stream of fresh air.
DETOX
Detox is a process in which harmful substances are removed from the body. Harmful substances can be toxins, contaminants, damage or unhealthy cells, and others. The holistic approach to detox is very effective as it centers on the body’s own natural healing, and thus is shown to be much more effective, sustainable, and balanced.
Holistic healing comes from many different traditions used to choose the ultimate best treatment(s) for each of our own unique needs, so this may also include Western medications and surgical procedures.

EATING RIGHT
This principle is simple: your body’s health reflects what you put into it. A healthy diet protects from diseases like obesity, heart disease, diabetes, cancer and stroke- just as it promotes vitality, cell renewal, youth, a long life and even happiness. Our food choices powerfully and directly affect not just our physical health, but our mental health as well.
Two-thirds of people who eat fresh fruit and vegetables daily report no mental health issues, as reported by the Mental Health Foundation¹⁰. Compare this to those who do have some level of mental health problems and have generally reported eating less healthy foods and more unhealthy foods. Feelings of well-being can be protected by ensuring that our diet is full of essential fats, complex carbohydrates, vitamins and minerals.
